![]() ![]() First, out of the gate, the Sea Star checks my boxes for what I want in a watch, right down to the drilled lugs. If you like the looks you can stop reading and get your own, or if you want to know the details, you can keep going. I can tell you, it’s a solid watch that’s definitely worthy of your cash. I’ve had the Sea Star for a few weeks now and have spent a good amount of time with it on the wrist. I can tell you that my tastes and some watches I’ve been sent do not always line up. It’s not all the time that a company contacts you to review a watch and it’s actually a watch you want and will wear. So when the Aquatico Bronze Sea Star made an appearance a few weeks ago, I was more than excited… I was thrilled. Watches and pocket knives are definitely some things that the fun of getting a new one hasn’t worn off yet. You would think that after a while, getting a new watch in the mail might get a little boring…well, you would think wrong! There is nothing better than my kids yelling down the driveway, “Dad, you have a package!” I think they are just as excited to unbox things as I am. We like the dark theme the black rubber brings and we also like the brushed finish from the 316L Stainless Steel. In this review of the Aquatico Bronze Sea Star, we look at the basics and also what makes this watch so special. In terms of comfort, both strap do the job well and fits the wrist tightly. In fairness, we are indifferent on which strap looks better. For the review, we were also given a rubber strap. In terms of adjusting the strap, a simple tool would do the job. The strap is also brushed to give a polished finish. The 316 Stainless steel is a perfect choice for the watch. The coating helps to prevent any reflection and the domed glass helps to focus the dial and the indexes. The lens is made from Sapphire glass with Inner AR Coating. There is enough space for a date window and we think it would suit the watch. One feature which is missing is the date window. The end of the second hand has also been given a lumed touch. The second hand follows a different design, a sharp arrow in red. It follows the simplicity of the rest of the dial and they also have been given the lumed coating. However, we would recommend to recharge the lume with a UV light. The index also have been given a Superluminova BGW9 coating and visibility during low light is impressive. The colour of the index goes well against the black dial and visibility is great. The index have rectangular bars at every 5 minute interval and the rest of the minutes have been replaced simple batons. The back casing is open and has a custom Aquatico rotor. We are thinking if the crown was guarding as part of an extended casing? Let us know what you think. The size of the crown fits the size of the dial. ![]() The screw in crown has a teeth cut design and the logo has been engraved. Another interest feature on the bezel is the red arrow. Both the numerals and batons on the bezel are lumed with Superluminova BGW9. The numbers are large but not empowering enough to distract you from the dial. The index on the bezel are in 10 minutes interval with batons to represent the rest of the intervals. The teeth cut design on the circumference of the bezel gives a good grip to turn the bezel. The 120 clicks unidirectional bezel is crisp and sharp. Now let us move on to the showpiece of the Aquatico Sea Star V2, the bezel. ![]()
